BIOGRAPHY

Already at a young age, Bruno Pezon displayed a gift for drawing, but the school's career advisor and his parents discouraged him to follow that path, intending him rather to be a designer and painter of stained glass windows as his father, Serge Pezon, to whom he was devoted and had great admiration. (Bruno Pezon would later learn that his father, in his early youth, had been invited to attend the school of fine art (les beaux arts). His parents refused to allow him to go.

Bruno Pezon is the youngest of three children. After several moves, he spent his adolescence in Le Havre. In 1983, he met Claude Lericle who shared with him his

love of drawing and painting.

From that moment on, Claude Lericle became his mentor and remains so to this day. After some years in shadow, and despite all, without anyone paying him attention, he continued his drawing. Then, in 1991 encounter was to be of cardinal importance in his life (Annick).

Bruno Pezon and Annick Mourat were married in 1992. In the same year the death of his father at the age of 45 profoundly affected him, but happier events would follow, namely, the births of three sons and one daughter between 1993 and 2000. At the beginning of 1993 he suffered an industrial injury which would incapacitate him for two years. Henceforth, he could consecrate his time, unhindered upon his drawing and painting. His wife, Annick, recognising his talent was the first person to encourage him.

In 1995 he and wife bought a bar in Craponne sur Arzon. They named it ''Le Cezanne''. For some years Bruno was forced to paint in a dark attic at night after finishing the day's work serving his customers.

Then later they bought an old convent. Finally, Bruno has the studio of his dreams.

He puts an essential question to himself and the citation of Henry james come to mind. It is time to live the life you have imagined for yourselfe.

He asserts his vocation to become a painter and goes back to the basics of drawing and painting. He invites models to pose in order to polish up his pencil, pastel and brush strokes and works essenentially in colour.

Today, he owes very much to his wife, Annick, who gave him his confidence.

Arriving now to other people: Eugenie Detto (painter) and notably, Philomene wolf (holder of a diploma from the Louvre school) who have made him conscious of his art and of what he could be capable.
